Rairaikyo Gorge 5 minutes
Rairaikyo Gorge is a beautiful canyon with massive rocks eroded and molded by the river into peculiar shapes. It is located at the entrance to Akiu Onsen. Enjoy a stroll along the kilometer-long promenade hugging the river downstream from Nozoki Bridge. There is a famous romantic spot featuring a rock with a heart-shaped hole visible from the bridge.

Kaleidoscope Art Museum 5 minutes
The Sendai Kaleidoscope Art Museum is located at the entrance of the Akiu Onsen resort area. Visitors can enjoy beautiful kaleidoscopes on display and for sale, as well as the experience of making a kaleidoscope.

A castle built in 1610 by one of Japan's most famous samurai, Date Masamune, once stood here and the castle grounds have been converted into a park. The equestrian statue of Date Masamune is an iconic monument of Sendai City.

This ski slope is conveniently located just off the highway. You can choose from a variety of courses to suit your skiing skill level, from beginner courses to advanced courses. There are also courses that kids can enjoy, so it is very popular with families.

Nihon Sankei refers to the three specific scenic views most famed in Japan and are considered a must-visit for Japanese and foreign visitors alike.Matsushima is famous for its 260 small islands covered with pine trees.These islands have even inspired people like Matsuo Basho, one of the most famous Japanese poets who were active during the Edo period.
